Calendar Fields - User Guide

Event Name:

Enter the name of the event.

Event Description:

Provide a brief description of the event.

Coming Soon Checkbox:

If the event date is not yet set, check the "Coming Soon" checkbox. This will display the event at the end of the calendar with a "Coming Soon" note.

Time:

Specify the time of the event.

Contact Name and Email:

Enter the name of the person to contact for inquiries about the event. If you provide an email address, the public will be able to send emails to this individual.

Event Location and Event Details:

If you fill out these fields, a "more info" link will be created on the event calendar. If you enter the event location, a link to a map from MapQuest can also be included.

Link 1, Link 2:

These fields allow you to add links to external websites with additional information about the event on the "more info" page.

Link to Event Registration System:

The event registration system is separate from the calendar of events for flexibility. However, this field enables you to link between the two modules. You can direct visitors from the "more info" page to the event registration menu or a specific event registration you've created.

Auto-Copy Event:

This feature lets you set up an event to automatically copy itself into the future. For instance, you can schedule an event to occur every 3rd Tuesday. The copying process happens overnight, where the event marked for copying is duplicated into the future. This newly created future event is then marked to continue the pattern on the following night. This process repeats until an event is copied up to 60 days in advance (40 days for weekly copying).

Alternate Landing Page:

If you enter a URL in this field, visitors who click on the calendar entry for this event will be directed to the specified URL instead of the default calendar information page.

Logos:

You can upload up to two logos for the event. These logos will be displayed on certain pre-defined calendar layouts, which can be found in the System Links section.
