Online Learning Module - Help Guide

The Online Learning Module allows you to offer educational courses to your members that can be completed at their convenience. Courses can include videos, informational web pages, and tests to assess knowledge. Members receive immediate feedback on their performance in the tests.

Creating a Course:

1. Accessing the Online Learning Admin:

   - Go to the admin panel and locate the "Online Learning" option under Member Area Functions.

2. Adding a Course:

   - Click on the "Add a new course" link.

   - Provide a name and description for the course. This information will be visible to members when they select courses of interest.

   - Note: Leave the "Publish Course" checkbox unchecked until you are ready for members to start taking the course.

3. Adding Course Elements:

   - Videos: Supported video file formats include AVI, MP4, MPG, and WMV.

   - Slides: Embed web pages containing text and images as content for the coursework.

   - Tests: Create multiple-choice questions. Members receive immediate feedback on correct and incorrect answers. You can provide explanations for incorrect answers if desired.

4. Organizing Course Elements:

   - Arrange your course elements in the desired order using the admin interface's reordering functionality.

5. Publishing the Course:

   - Once your course setup is complete, return to the Online Learning Course Admin.

   - Locate your new course under the "Pending" section and click on the 'edit' icon.

   - Check the "Publish Course" checkbox and click "Continue" to make the course available to members.

Non-Members Access:

- To provide access to non-members, set up a specific non-member account solely for Online Learning.

- Create a registration form associated with this account type, allowing people to sign up and receive a username and password.

- These credentials will enable non-members to access the Learning Management System (LMS) courses.
