Managing Mobile App Content - Help Guide
When you order a mobile app, it comes with default features and content that serve as examples. It is recommended to let MMS Staff handle the app content until after the app has been published by Apple. Apple has strict guidelines for app approval, so it's best to ensure compliance before making content changes.
Once your app is published and marked as "Active," you can start managing your app's content. Follow these steps:
Step 1: Access the Mobile App Manager Main Page
Go to the main Mobile App Manager page within the system. Look for the appropriate link or menu option to access this page.
Step 2: Click "App Builder"
On the Mobile App Manager main page, locate and click the "App Builder" link. This will take you to the page where you can manage your app's content.
Step 3: Review Content Overview
On the App Builder page, you will see a list of all the existing content in your mobile app. This includes pages, features, categories, links, and spacers. These content items are displayed as buttons on the app's menu.
Step 4: Add, Edit, or Remove Content
To make changes to your app's content, use the following options:
- Adding New Content: Click the appropriate link located at the top right of the page, next to "Add New." Choose the type of content you want to add.
- Editing Existing Content: Click the "Pencil" icon next to the content you wish to modify. This allows you to edit the content's details.
- Deleting Existing Content: Click the red "X" icon associated with the content you want to remove. Confirm the deletion if prompted.
- Adjusting Menu Order: To change the position of content in the menu, click the up or down arrow icon. This allows you to move the content up or down in the menu order.
Step 5: Save and Apply Changes
After making your desired content modifications, ensure you save the changes according to the instructions provided on the page. Your changes will be applied to the app.
