Community Post Submissions - Help Guide

Member Submissions:

To access the Member Submission system for Community Posts, follow these steps:

1. Locate the Link:

Look for the "Community Posts" link in the Member's Features section of the main page. In the newer member menu, you can find it under the "Communication" section. It is typically found near the bottom of the main page in the Interactions or Communication box.

2. Access the Submission Page:

Clicking on the Community Posts link will take you to the submission page. Here, you will find the following:

- Automatic Dates: The page will generate the current date as the submission date and set an expiration date 30 days later.

- Clearly Labeled Text Boxes: These boxes are provided for different information related to the submission. Feel free to enter relevant text, but note that none of the boxes are mandatory.

- Submit Button: After entering the necessary details, click the submit button to proceed.

- Confirmation Page: Once submitted, you will be redirected to a confirmation page that displays the information you have submitted.

- Return Link: The confirmation page will also provide a link to return to the Member's Main page.

Member Submissions will give proper credit based on individual membership types and for business member types, credit will be given to the employer and member name. Please note that the membership type is determined within your organization's General Configuration options. We recommend not altering this configuration for the purpose of the credit behavior within this system.

Non-Member Submissions:

Admins can find the Non-Member Submissions link in the System Links menu. This link can be added to your public website or included in emails to allow any visitor or recipient to submit articles.

The Non-Member Submission system functions similarly to the Member Submission system, with the key difference being that submissions are not tied to member records. Therefore, the credit for the article will depend on the name provided by the user during the submission process.
