To enable token purchase, follow these steps:

1. Enable Store Token Purchase: In the online store global configuration, locate the option 'Enable Store Token Purchase' and enable it. This will activate the token purchase functionality.

2. Customize Token Label: On the same configuration page, you can change the global label for 'token' to any other term you prefer. This allows you to customize the terminology used for tokens.

3. Setting up Token Amounts: When editing a store product and its attributes, you will now find new options for token amounts. These fields determine the number of tokens awarded when the item is purchased. The total tokens awarded will be calculated based on the product's token value and any attached attributes, multiplied by the quantity purchased.

4. Members Only: Products with tokens are marked as 'members only' by default. This means only members can use tokens for their purchases.

5. Select Effective Year: Members who purchase products with tokens can choose the effective year for those tokens. For example, if purchased in December, they can choose to have the tokens apply to the following year, ensuring they are not lost. Tokens do not roll over from year to year.

6. Token Summary Report: Both members and admins have access to a token summary report. This report displays the current token balance, as well as a detailed summary of token purchases and debits for a specific year. Members can find this report under the 'My Membership Information' section on the main members page, within the event registration section. Admins can generate this report for any member through the admin event registration section.
