Managing Project Participants and Chairs - User Guide

To effectively manage participants and chairs in a Project/Committee, follow these simple steps:

Managing the Participant List:

1. Access the Projects/Committees module, located in the Members Area Functions section of the main menu.

2. Find the project you want to modify and click on the "Participants" link next to it.

On the Participants page:

1. You will see a complete list of members and contacts stored in the system.

2. Utilize the search box at the top of the left-side box to locate and select members from the member database.

3. Once participants are selected, click the "Add To List" button at the bottom of the page.

4. The members or contacts you added will appear on the right side of the page.

Adding Chairs and Vice-Chairs:

1. After assigning participants to the project, you can designate any of them as chairs of the Project/Committee.

2. Go to the project's participant list.

From the participant list:

1. Click the "Change" link next to the participant's name on the right side of the screen.

2. On the following page, you will find two select boxes for designating someone as Chair or Vice-Chair of the project.

3. The comment section allows you to provide additional information about the participant's role within the group. This comment will be visible to everyone who can view the project.

4. If you have enabled the option to pend signups for approval, you can also edit the participant's status using the Committee Status option.
