Managing Photos - User Guide
Managing Photos in the Album:
1. Access the Members Area and navigate to the Content Manager System section.
2. Select "Photo Album" to view the list of all photos in the album.
3. Each photo entry includes a thumbnail, title, caption, and functions to manipulate the photo.
Uploading Photos:
1. To upload a new photo, click on the "Add New Photo" link.
2. Fill in the following fields:
- Title: Provide a title for the photo.
- Caption (Optional): Add a description of the photo.
- File: Use the "Browse" button to select the photo file from your computer.
Note: Only web-suitable formats like .gif, .jpg, and .png are supported.
3. Click "Submit" to initiate the upload. The process may take a few seconds depending on the file size. Contact us if you encounter any issues.
Managing Photos:
1. To change the title and caption of a photo, click on "Change" next to the photo's entry.
2. To delete a photo, click on "Delete" next to the photo's entry.
3. To adjust the order of presentation, use the "Move Up" or "Move Down" links to reposition the photo relative to others.
Approving Submitted Photos:
1. If you allow photo submissions from members, these photos will be placed in a pending status.
2. When notified, access the editor and change the status of the photo to "Active".
3. Use one of the publish options to re-publish the album and make the approved photos visible.
Publishing Photos:
1. Our latest version of the editor automatically publishes photos.
2. In the previous version, you work in a staging area. To make photos visible to the public, click on one of the "Publish" links at the bottom.
3. There are two formats available:
- Format 1: Presents the photo album with 4 pictures per page, featuring larger size images.
- Format 2: Displays the album with 10 pictures per page, using smaller thumbnails. Clicking on a thumbnail opens a larger image.
