File Management - User Guide

Managing Archive Files:

As an admin-level user, you have the ability to manage files in the archive. To get started, log in to the Members Area and navigate to the File Archive under the Members Area Features section. You will see the "file archive category menu" where you can select a category to add, change, or delete files within that category. If no categories are available, you can create a new one.

Categories:

Files in the archive are organized into categories for easy organization. As an admin-level user, you can add, change, or delete category names. To do this, go to the file archive category menu and click on "Edit Category Names". You will be taken to a page where you can add new categories, modify existing category names, or delete categories.

Uploading Files:

To upload a file, first select a category from the file archive category menu. Then, click on the "add new file" link. You will be prompted to provide the following information:

- Title: Give a title to the document/file.

- Description: Provide a description of the document/file.

- File category: This is pre-filled with the selected category, so you can ignore it.

- Newsletter: This feature is specific to certain organizations. If applicable, checking this option will update the newsletter link on the website to point to this file.

- File: Use the browse button to select the file you want to upload from your computer's local directory.

Once you have filled in the required fields, click on Submit to begin the upload process. The time taken will depend on the file's size. If you encounter any issues, please reach out to us for assistance.

Managing Files:

After uploading a file, you can make changes to its title, description, and category at any time. Simply click on "change" next to the file's entry in the file archive category menu. If you wish to delete a file, click on "delete" next to the file's entry.
