Broadcast Text Message Help Desk Guide


The broadcast text message module allows associations to send text messages to a group of members. Here's how to use it:


1. To enable this feature, please contact tech support. They will activate the module for you (additional fees may apply).


2. Once the module is activated, you need to set up a special mobile-phone field in the member database. This field will store the mobile numbers of your members. Make sure to load the mobile numbers into this field so they can be used for sending broadcasts.


3. To send a text message, click on 'send new message' in the module. You will be prompted to enter a subject and message. Note that the subject is for tracking purposes only and will not be sent.


4. In the next screen, you can select the recipients. Only member records with mobile phone numbers entered in the designated field will be available for selection. Choose the recipients and verify your message.


5. After confirming the message, you can send it to the selected recipients.


6. Once the message is sent, there will be a 'status page' available for that message. This page shows the progress of the message, indicating which ones have been sent successfully and which ones encountered issues. Additionally, if recipients reply to your text, their replies will be displayed on the status page.


By following these steps, you can effectively use the broadcast text message module to communicate with your members.
