Managing Volunteer Sessions


A volunteer session contains important information about a group of volunteer opportunities. To create a volunteer session, it must be linked to an existing calendar event. You can either create it directly from the calendar event or from the main admin page for volunteering.


Here are the details you'll need to provide when setting up a volunteer session:


Title:

Choose a title that will be displayed on the volunteering calendar for members to see.


Start Date:

Specify the date when the volunteering session begins.


End Date:

If the volunteering session spans multiple days, enter the date when it ends. For single-day events, you can leave this field blank.


Cutoff Date:

By default, the session will remain visible on the calendar until both the start and end dates have passed. If you want it to be removed earlier, you can use the cutoff date field. If not needed, you can leave it blank.


Volunteer Coordinator:

Select a member from your organization who will act as the volunteer coordinator for the session. The coordinator will have administrative rights specific to the volunteer session they are responsible for. They can make changes to the session, opportunities, and manage member participation.


Description:

Provide a description for the overall session. This description will be displayed when members view information about the session.
