Welcome to Dynamic Custom Fields!

Dynamic Custom Fields may seem a bit more complex to set up initially compared to the older Custom Fields, but you'll quickly realize that they offer greater user-friendliness and flexibility.

Unlike the older Custom Fields, Dynamic Custom Fields allow you to easily change their order, switch between member-editable and admin-only modes with a simple click, and even specify which member types should see specific fields.

Please note that currently, it is not possible to make these fields mandatory. The system was adapted from another platform that didn't require this feature. However, our team is actively working on adding this capability in the near future.

To get started with Dynamic Custom Fields, access the menu and you'll find a drop-down select menu. Choose the desired option, and you'll be taken to the standard configuration page where you can configure various settings. The available field types include Indicator, Number, Short Text, Long Text, Date, Select, and Multi-select.

On the configuration page, provide a name for the field and select whether it should be member-editable, admin-only, or admin-editable but viewable by members. You can also restrict the field to specific member plans if needed. If the field should apply to all member plans, leave this section blank.

For Indicator, Number, Short Text, Long Text, and Date field types, no additional setup options are required. Simply click Save, and you'll be redirected back to the previous page.

However, if you create a Select or Multiselect field, you'll be taken to a page where you can define the options that you and/or your members can choose from in the finished custom field.

On this page, you'll find two buttons: one to go back to the list of Dynamic Custom Fields and another to create a new option. Clicking "Add New Option" will bring up a short text field where you can enter an option with up to 200 characters. After saving, you can choose to add more options or return to the Fields list.

Should you need any assistance or have further questions, don't hesitate to reach out to our support team. We're here to help you make the most of Dynamic Custom Fields!
