Referral Tool - User Guide


The Referral Tool is a valuable component of the CRM System, specifically labeled as "Send Lead to Members" under admin functions. This tool enables you to refer potential business opportunities to your members based on specific business categories. It proves especially useful when inquiries come into a central office, such as a chamber, and you want to connect the person with relevant members.


To utilize the Referral Tool, follow these steps:


1. Access the Referral Tool:

Click on "Send Lead to Members" within the CRM System. This will direct you to the Referral Tool page.


2. Enter Referral Information:

On the Referral Tool page, provide the following details about the referral:

- Name: Enter the name of the person you are referring.

- Email: Input the referral's email address.

- Phone: Enter the referral's contact number.

- Inquiry Details: Provide a description or relevant information about their inquiry.


3. Select Business Categories:

On the subsequent page, select the business categories that best match the referral's inquiry. This step helps ensure that you refer them to the most appropriate members.


4. Choose Members to Receive Referral:

On the next page, you will see a list of members who match the selected business categories. Here, you have the option to choose or deselect specific members to whom you want to send the referral. This gives you control over the referral process.


5. Optional Email Notifications:

On the final page, you have two additional options:

- Send Emails to Referral: Choose this option if you want to notify the person being referred about the members' contact information.

- Send Emails to Members: Select this option if you want to inform the referred members about the referral's contact information and the nature of their inquiry.


6. Complete the Referral Process:

After making your selections, proceed to complete the referral process. The system will send out the necessary emails, sharing the appropriate contact information with the relevant parties. Simultaneously, the CRM system will record the referral as a contact for the referred members.
