Newsletter - User Guide
The newsletter editor is a powerful tool that allows your organization to create and publish electronic newsletters. These newsletters can be stored on your website and emailed to your members if desired.
Getting Started with Newsletter Editor
1. Set Up Templates:
Begin by creating templates for the publications you want to create. Templates help you establish consistent attributes for your newsletters, such as header images, mastheads, colors, and more.
2. Add and Edit Newsletters:
Once you have a template, you can add a newsletter issue and start adding or editing articles within the newsletter. Over time, you can easily create new issues by copying a previous month's newsletter as a starting point.
Important Note about HTML Formatting:
Email clients like Outlook, Thunderbird, and Gmail can render HTML-formatted emails differently. To ensure your newsletter looks good across various email clients, it's best to keep the formatting simple. By sticking to simple formatting, you increase the chances of your newsletter appearing correctly in all email clients.
PDF Version of Newsletter:
If you need to create a PDF version of your newsletter for printing or distribution by mail, follow these steps:
1. Open the Newsletter in a Browser:
View the newsletter on your website using any web browser.
2. Choose Print Option:
Click on your browser's print option, usually found in the browser's menu or by pressing Ctrl+P (or Command+P on Mac).
3. Change Printer Destination:
Instead of sending the document to a physical printer, select "Save as PDF" as the printer destination.
4. Save the Document:
Save the PDF document to your hard drive or preferred location.
You now have a PDF version of your newsletter that can be printed or distributed via traditional mail to your members.
